TEXAS DEMOCRATIC VETERANS ENDORSE JOE FARIAS FOR STATE REPRESETATIVE DISTRICT 118

The Texas Democratic Veterans enthusiastically endorse Joe Farias for election as the State Representative for District 118. A lifelong resident of House District 118, Joe Farias has an outstanding record of achievement serving his community and our country. After graduating from McCollum High School, Joe volunteered for the US Army in 1968 and served three years in Vietnam and Berlin, Germany. Joe learned the values of loyalty, integrity, and service. Joe is the best-qualified candidate with his years of service on the Harlandale School Board.

Joe has visited numerous Veteran Service Organizations in the District 118 area such as American Legion and the VFW Posts listening to the Veterans and family members with their issues and concerns. Joe has agreed to support the Hazelwood Legacy Act where if passed next legislative session, it will help many of the children of Texas Veterans received educational benefits from our State Public universities and colleges.

His opponent failed to influence Kay Bailey Hutchison as her assistant during his tenure and allowed the dismantling of many medical services to our Veterans at the VA Hospital in Kerrville and allowed the lack of optimal VA medical services to our Veterans in the Rio Grande Valley

Joe will fight for optimal federal and state Veterans benefits. We respectfully ask you to support Joe Farias who is a true advocate for the Military, Veterans and family members.

Respectfully,

LAWRENCE G. ROMO, Lt Col USAFR (Ret.)
State Chairman, Texas Democratic Veterans
